The Sebastopol goose originates from around the Black Sea. They are known for their long curly feathers. Their down has long been used in pillows and duvets. They have beautiful blue eyes, are highly intelligent, and like to paddle in their pool. The Sebastopols mate for life and can have a lifespan of about 20 years. Our Sebastopols were a birthday gift to Bruce from Karen. Bruce named the male after Horatio Hornblower, the main character from one of his favorite book series. The girls are Marguerite and Lydia, two of the ships, in the Hornblower books.
